A Government traineeship or School-based Traineeship Program is a great way to kick-start your career in the Western Australian Government.  Here you can find out more about trainee programs and current opportunities.

 

Government Traineeships

The Government Traineeship Program will provide you with an opportunity to undertake a Government Traineeship in a WA State Government Agency, for a period of 12 months.

If you are successful in gaining a Government Traineeship you will get hands-on experience while being paid a training wage.

School-based Traineeships

If you're currently in Year 10 this year and going into Year 11 next year (at a WA school) and are looking for an opportunity to kick-start your career during Years 11 and 12, then check out the School Based Traineeship Program (SBTP).

The SBTP is a fantastic way for you to gain valuable work and life experiences, earn money and a formal qualification, all while completing your high school education.
