​Regional Development Portfolio

In Western Australia the Government's regional development agenda is delivered by a Portfolio of operating entities with a common focus on long-term social and economic growth.

The Regional Development Portfolio includes the Department, the nine Regional Development Commissions, the Regional Development Council, and the Western Australian Regional Development Trust.

The Department values its strong partnerships across the Regional Development Portfolio.

Regional Development Commissions

There are nine Regional Development Commissions within Western Australia:

Regional Development Council

The Regional Development Council is a key advisory body to the Minister on all regional development issues. The Council brings together the chairs of the nine Regional Development Commission boards along with the Director General of the Department to ensuring a coordinated and holistic approach to key strategy and policy issues.
