Camp Kulin founder wins RIRDC WA Rural Women’s Award

Tanya Dupagne, founder of the Camp Kulin program, has emerged as the WA winner of the 2017 RIRDC Rural Women's Award.

Over 120 guests including the Minister for Regional Development Alannah MacTiernan and winner of the 2016 Award Kalyn Fletcher attended the ceremony held at the Government House Ballroom on Wednesday 5 April.

Her Excellency the Honourable Kerry Sanderson AC, Governor of Western Australia, presented Tanya with a trophy to commemorate the win. Tanya will also receive $10,000 to complete her project, which is to set up a subsidised camp for regional women to develop leadership skills and promote positive change in their own communities.

Tanya will represent WA at the National RIRDC Women's Award held in Canberra later this year. The winner will receive an additional $10,000 to implement their project.
