​Renewable Hydrogen Conference

The Western Australian Government is hosting a one day conference on renewable hydrogen at the Perth Conference and Exhibition Centre on Friday 31 August 2018.

The Conference aims are to:

  • Hear from international speakers about how leading world economies are planning to integrate hydrogen into their future energy mix

  • Learn about the renewable hydrogen industry's vision, and the critical success factors required to achieve it

  • Facilitate a wider understanding of the current and projected economics and commercial viability of hydrogen across a range of applications

  • Showcase the comparative advantages of Western Australia and Australia as being among the world's best for access to renewable energy resources and position Western Australia and Australia to be a key player in the renewable hydrogen industry

  • Provide opportunity to build connections between industry and the Western Australian Government and its agencies.   

The Conference program will: 
  • Lead with keynote presentations by the Premier of Western Australia, Hon. Mark McGowan MLA, the Western Australian Minister for Regional Development, Hon. Alannah MacTiernan MLC, and Australia's Chief Scientist, Dr Alan Finkel AO.   

  • Feature presentations by local, national, and international industry and government recognised leaders including: Australian Gas Infrastructure Group, ENGIE, Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Woodside, ARENA, Hyundai, CSIRO, Siemens, and ATCO. 

The Conference will also showcase a range of hydrogen fuelled products.
