Muresk Institute - Agricultural Degree and Diploma
Project Status: In progress
An investment of $10 million, through the Seizing the Opportunity Agriculture initiative, will further support agricultural skills development at Muresk Institute and strengthen the capacity of Western Australia's agrifood industry.
Department of Training and Workforce Development will deliver the agricultural skills development pathways and degree programs at the Muresk Institute, which include short-course training options and higher education programs.
These courses will help bridge the gap between existing skills in the agriculture industry and the skills required to capitalise on existing and future opportunities.
Through linking in with universities, research and development, health providers and other stakeholders, the program will deliver:
- innovation backed by science
- a trained industry that meets the needs of global food demand
- a resource that brings research and development into practice.
This investment builds on the Stage One Revitalisation of Muresk Institute also funded through Royalties for Regions.
