Royalties for Regions supported the Mandurah Surf Life Saving Club with $1.6 million through the Country Local Government Fund to construct a seawall and a new club and community facility. 

The Mandurah Surf Lifesaving Club conducted activities at Halls Head Beach before membership numbers grew so rapidly that the club relocated several times before settling into its new facilities in San Remo.

The new premises has the following facilities, with the function and meeting rooms available for community hire :

  • kitchen/kiosk
  • first aid room
  • beach viewing deck
  • club change rooms
  • public ablutions
  • function room
  • meeting room
  • cafe
  • equipment garage

The project also included works to protect the foreshore, public car parking and landscaping.

The $3.45 million facility was officially opened by the City of Mandurah Mayor Ms Paddi Creevey on Friday 14 June 2013 and delivered in conjunction with :

The construction of this purpose built facility allows the Mandurah Surf Life Saving Club to deliver improved services to its community.
