The 4 Green Star rated building has a very low environmental impact and will use about 60 per cent less energy and produces 60 per cent less carbon than a typical modern office building of the same size.

"We are reducing our greenhouse gas emissions, providing a healthy workplace for our staff and setting a new standard for construction in the Kimberley." Frank Davey, KLC Chairman.

The new facility addresses Kimberley Land Council's office accommodation needs, allowing it to more effectively and efficiently deliver a broad range of services to Aboriginal people in the Kimberley, the wider community, government agencies and the private sector.

The facility, which provides office and storage space on two levels, conference facilities and meeting rooms, will have significant long term benefits through increased and improved engagement with Aboriginal people in the economic, social and community development of the Kimberley region.
