Regional Grants Scheme and Community Chest Fund

The Regional Grants Scheme and Community Chest Fund are Royalties for Regions initiatives that seek to improve economic and community infrastructure and services in regional Western Australia.
The Regional Grants Scheme is aimed at bigger projects to help attract investment, increase job opportunities and improve the quality of life in the regions.
Grants ranging from $20,001 to $300,000 are available under the Regional Grants Scheme and up to $20,000 is available under the Community Chest Fund.
This enables community, public and private organisations to fund projects that attract investment and increase jobs, as well as improve the quality of life in the regions.
Royalties for Regions has a strong focus on supporting local-decision making and these grants will fund strategic region-specific priorities that are driven by local communities.
Hundreds of projects and organisations across regional WA have already benefited from the grants in recent years including:
WA's nine Regional Development Commissions administer the Regional Grants Scheme and Community Chest Fund and oversee the successful projects.
Each Regional Development Commission has been provided with $1.1 million in the 2015 calendar year to fund Regional Grants Scheme proposals and $370,000 to fund Community Chest Fund projects.
