Southern Forest Food Council
Project status: Completed
The Southern Forests region is located in a small pocket of the South West, encompassing the towns of Manjimup, Pemberton, Northcliffe and Walpole. The region holds 79,497 hectares of agricultural land and hosts 452 agricultural businesses.
Through the Royalties for Regions' Manjimup SuperTown's Agricultural Expansion initiative, the Southern Forests Food Council received $5 million to brand and promote agricultural products from the region and develop new pathways to markets.
The Southern Forests Food Council play a critical role in unifying the area's diverse producers to strengthen economic performance, attract further investment, create jobs, promote regional pride and ultimately achieve recognition as a highly regarded culinary tourism destination.
