Agricola student accommodation

Students attending the Western Australian School of Mines and the Goldfields Institute of Technology will soon have a new and expanded student accommodation facility.
Royalties for Regions (Skills Training Initiative) and Curtin University have contributed $20 million and $10 million respectively for the Agricola College student accommodation.
The new facility will provide accommodation for up to 228 students with 180 new individual bedrooms and a refurbishment of the existing 48-bed single storey accommodation.
The Western Australian School of Mines and Goldfields Institute of Technology attract students from all over the State, the country and from overseas. This project will support industry training and increase the likelihood that skilled workers remain in the region following graduation.
The sod turning took place on 2 October 2014 and construction is expected to be completed in 2017.
