Coral Bay Seasonal Staff Accommodation
Project Status: Completed
The State Government has invested $17.37 million through Royalties for Regions to develop affordable, quality accommodation for Coral Bays' seasonal workers in a partnership between the Baiyungu Aboriginal Corporation and National Lifestyle Villages.
The Seasonal Staff Accommodation facility provides 37 houses for up to 70 workers in the Coral Bay area and takes pressure off the town's limited choice of accommodation. Seasonal workers had previously been accommodated in caravans and other substandard accommodation on tourist premises, such as caravan parks and resort grounds, which impacted on the availability of tourist accommodation.
The availability of affordable, quality accommodation will help attract and retain staff, particularly in the peak tourism season, benefiting Coral Bay's economy and providing positive effects for the wider community
