Lane Poole Reserve campgrounds
Project status: In Progress
Campgrounds at Lane Poole Reserve are being expanded and upgraded to ensure WA campers visiting Dwellingup area will no longer miss out on campsites during peak seasons.
Lane Poole Reserve campgrounds include Charlies Flat, Tonys Bend, Yarragil, Chuditch and the new Baden Powell recreation area, which collectively covers more than 50,000 hectares of jarrah forest and attracts more than 200,000 visitors a year.
Royalties for Regions supported $1 million of improvements to Lane Poole Reserve's Baden Powell campground, which now features:
- 102 campsites
- Three camp kitchens
- Eight toilets
- Picnic tables
- Communal fire-pits
- Car park
The improvements are part of the State Government's $21.05 million Parks for People initiative, and are funded by the Royalties for Regions program under the Western Australian Caravan and Camping Action Plan 2013-18.
